Who we are
Tudor Workplace Needs Assessment grew from more than 15 years of real, hands‑on experience supporting disabled colleagues in the workplace. My journey began inside a large public‑sector organisation, where I chaired the disability support network and saw every day how much difference the right understanding and adjustments can make.
During that time, I developed and led a dyslexia workplace assessment service, building it from scratch into a network of over 30 assessors with a wide mix of backgrounds—from skilled trades and technical roles to office and frontline environments. That diversity meant we could offer support that genuinely matched the realities of people’s jobs, not just the theory.
Across those years, we identified and implemented hundreds of workplace adjustments, including:
- Practical technologies that made tasks easier and more efficient
- Coping strategies that helped people manage their workload with confidence
- Simple changes to processes, communication, and tools that removed barriers
- Tailored recommendations that respected the pace, pressures, and culture of each workplace
These adjustments didn’t just help individuals—they often transformed the roles they were undertaking. People who had been struggling were suddenly able to thrive, contribute more fully, and feel valued for their strengths rather than defined by their challenges.
That experience shaped the heart of Tudor Workplace Needs Assessment. I learned that:
- The best support is practical, realistic, and free from jargon.
- Skilled trades and hands‑on roles deserve assessments that understand their world.
- Employers want to help—they just need clear guidance they can trust.
- Listening is more powerful than ticking boxes.
Today, Tudor Workplace Needs Assessment brings that same approach to workplaces across the trades, manufacturing, and motor industries. The aim is simple: make work easier, safer, and more accessible for everyone, with adjustments that genuinely make a difference.
